Bushfire Management Plans (BMP)
A Bushfire Management Plan (BMP) is a plan that identifies the bushfire hazard faced by a planning proposal or development application, and sets out the bushfire risk management strategies to be applied.
A BMP may detail such requirements as vegetation management, fire breaks, firefighting water supply, vehicle access, and ongoing management responsibilities. The following range of BMPs may apply to various proposal types:
Simple development, e.g. house or granny flat.
